Is Murray deliberately bidding for expensive players to fool the faithful?

So rangers put in a bid of 拢5 million for Faubert, but are told to beat it by Bordeaux. If Rangers had this money to spend, why is Scott Brown and Cuellar not at Ibrox, why was the best reserve goalie for MacGregor they could find, the Killie reserve goalie and why are they haggling over a 拢 1.5 million fee for Naismith? Could it be that Murray doesn`t actually have the cash and is bidding for players he knows he won`t get, but is hoping the publicity will help to sell tickets for the preseason friendlies and the European game at the end of July?|||Lets be honest, you can see some of the faithful on Answers anyday of the week.
