Can anyone help identify what year and line my golf clubs are? Macgregor byron nelson personal 185t?

Since MacGregor does not provide any Archival information what so ever on their web site. You can contact them here: contactus@macgregorgolf.com Or phone them at 800-841-4358

Hope you have good fortune in your quest. Sorry I could not provide better information....There is just nothing out there|||In the sixties MacGregor sold personal model clubs in stores because their top lines were sold in green grass pro shops only. Byron Nelson models gave way to Jack Nicklaus Personal and Golden Bear models. I'm pretty sure that your Byron Nelson 185ts would be from the early sixties or late fifties and would have been the top line store model or their second line in the eyes of the golf pros of the day. Without seeing the heads I would also imagine that they would closely resemble the MacGregor MTs of the day or the Tommy Armour Silver Scots both pro only sets.|||1927 saw the first "Harmonized" club set, which included both wood and steel shafts. In the 1930s, the company's name was officially changed to MacGregor Golf Co., and the "J." was dropped. That decade saw a number of innovations under the leadership of Toney Penna, who worked with such legendary players as Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson to create new club designs
